There's something in it for us, as well
Okay seriously, several times I’ve heard that “some asexuals are in polyamorous relationships so the sexual partner can have other partners to express eir sexual needs with”. This sounds like you have to be sexual to get anything out of polyamory, and it also sounds like there’s always someone who benefits more when it comes to polyamorous lifestyles.
Argh! I don’t...

Why aren't you telling me/us?
Some people are repeating this phrase “let me tell you bout homestuck” but I’ve never actually heard anything about this homestuck. I’ve only seen pictures. You’re going on and on about talking to the world about this interest of yours, but you never actually say anything.
Maybe that’s the point. IDK.

Demonstration against forced sterilization is...
Hello fellow Tumblrs! If any of you are in Sweden, in or close to Stockholm, please participate in a demonstration on Wednesday!
Oh my, I just realized how difficult this is for me to express in English x__x I’ll try anyway.
As some of you might already know, in Sweden you have to be steril, unmarried and a Swedish citizen to be allowed to change your legal gender. The government has said...

-You cannot be sexist toward men. Sexism is based on a system of oppression. You CAN be discriminatory, rude, inconsiderate, and/or prejudiced against men but you CANNOT be sexist toward them.

The Fourth Alternative
What? Do they exist? We do, and we are the last outcasts. The ”explanations” for asexuality are the same as the ”explanations” once given for homosexuality; sickness and biochemical abnormality. Back in the 1930’s in England when I was i child, bachelors and unmarried women, known as ”spinsters”, were not regarded as abnormal, although spinsters were pitied for not having ”made a catch”. A...

I was not "born this way"
thisgenderedlife:
I was born. That’s all. I wasn’t born a girl, I wasn’t born trans, I was simply born. Society told me I was a girl, the opposite of boy, and my disidentification with that label makes me trans.
I was born human. Everything else is socially determined.

Why do I call myself asexual?
I’m a fan of queer theory and the idea of doing instead of being, I want to question every norm, label and definition and not ever settle down. I should always be ready to change my ideas and views
so why am I clinging to this one word that I constantly use to describe myself with? It’s the one word that I really identify with, while words like Swedish, panromantical, trans, Christian...
